Which payment methods can I use when giving online?
You can make an electronic funds transfer, electronically debiting your gift from your personal or business checking account, or;
You can give a gift using your Visa or MasterCard labeled card. Please use this option as a convenience only and never incur credit card debt.
Is online giving safe?
Yes! Giving online is actually more secure than using paper checks or using your credit card at a restaurant. Your information is sent directly to our bank, where they handle the details of your transaction. If you want to get technical, the secure server uses 128 bit encryption with a 1024 bit exchange.
Can I give on a recurring basis?
Yes! For your convenience, we offer the option for your gift to be automatically debited on a recurring basis right from this web site. There is no need to worry about forgetting to write the check or bringing it to church. You will have the option of having your gift automatically processed weekly, every 2 weeks, every month, or every 3 months. Using a user name and password that will be supplied when you give, you will be able to log in from home anytime to update the amount and frequency of your gift, or cancel your gift.
Please note: Recurring giving is only available as an option to Bridge Church attenders. In order for our system to automatically recognize you are a church attender, you must match your provided email address with the email address we have on file for you when you register for online giving. If you do not, your online giving account will have to be updated to an attender's account. This may be done by simply requesting it by contacting the Bridge.
What is the cost to use this feature?
Online giving does not cost you anything.
The church pays the fees for online giving. If you give by Virtual Check (Personal or Business), the fee for the church is comparable to the fee the church pays if you gave the same amount by check and dropped it in the offering. If you opt to give by Visa or MasterCard, the church also pays a small percentage of each transaction. That having been said, these two points are both true: 1) If it is all the same to you, we would prefer you give by Virtual Check, and 2) Any benefits you get to using your credit card (i.e. "rewards" or "cash back"), are essentially paid for by the church.
How can I change or cancel my Recurring Gift, update my information, or contact someone?
You may log in to the Online Gift section of our web site by clicking here. Alternatively, you may contact Sam in the church office at 559.226.4100.
How will I know how much I gave for tax/record keeping purposes?
As always, every gift you give during the year will be recorded by the accounting department. You will receive a yearly statement detailing all gift activity for tax purposes. For your convenience, you may also log in to the online gift section of the web site and view a log of all gifts made online. Please note the report does not include gifts made via other channels than the website. For a complete record, please contact the Accounting Department.
